Wat Samphran, also known as the Giant Dragon Temple, is a 17-storey building with a replica of a giant dragon spiraling up; its head at the top and the tail at the bottom. The temple is very much inspired by the Chinese zodiac and dragons. There are several smaller temples, statues and shrines located within the complex of the building. Inside the giant dragon structure is a winding staircase that allows visitors to reach the different levels of the temple.
