About this Place Of Interest


Lumphini park, Thailand’s first public park, was built in the 1920’s. It is located right in the middle of Bangkok city and covers about 58 hectares of land. The land belonged to King Rama VI and was refurbished and opened to public in 1952. Visitors can spot 30 different species of birds, monitor lizards and tortoises by the lake and at the bird watching area. It is a great place to work out and relax one’s mind. This park is believed to have about 10,000 visitors daily.
