The Shaanxi History Museum, comprising of exhibition halls and warehouses, highlights Xi’an’s rich history as the first capital of China, as well as its main city for 13 dynasties. Its displays are arranged chronologically, beginning with relics from the prehistoric times to about those of the 19th century. The museum’s main exhibitions are located in the central hall. Here, you will find its permanent exhibition halls, which are divided into 3 sections based on the timeline of Ancient China. The 3 halls are as follows: No. 1 Hall (1st floor): Prehistoric Times; Western Zhou (Warring States Period) and Qin Dynasties No. 2 Hall (2nd floor): Han Dynasty; Northern and Southern Dynasties No. 3 Hall (2nd floor): Tang Dynasty
