About this Place Of Interest


The Lee Kong Chian (LKC) natural history museum was officially opened in the National University of Singapore on April 2015. Housing a diverse collection of specimens from across multiple species groups, the museum strives to be a leader in Southeast Asian biodiversity in terms of research, education, and outreach. With over 2000 specimens on display, the museum is carefully divided into multiple exhibits to provide the best visiting experience for its guests.

In this Learning Experience, we will be learning about the concept of extinction and how humans have attempted to fight it using de-extinction techniques. We will also be exploring the main reasons behind Earth’s dwindling species to help us prevent the next mass extinction event.
